Finding a math curriculum that works for the whole family can be tricky. If you’re like us and have tried several math curriculums, it gets tiring looking for a math curriculum that not only works but is great for every child. Enter CTCMath, a K-12 online math curriculum.

Math For the Whole Family with CTCMath

What is CTCMath?

CTCMath is an affordable, complete, and comprehensive, online math curriculum for children K-12. With this program, children can learn at their own pace by using just one family subscription which gives you access to all grades and lessons at once.

So no matter which level your child is at, they can work at whichever level is best for them at their own pace.

How We Used CTCMath

I have all three children using CTCMath in grades Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade.

They watch a video lesson, answer the interactive questions, can work on an optional printable worksheet, repeat if needed, or move on to the next lesson. The program automatically keeps track of the results and keeps an ongoing progress report for each child.

The video lessons are easy to follow, short, and engaging. If needed, they can be paused or watched again as many times as needed.

I received this complimentary product through the Homeschool Review Crew.

The interactive questions give immediate feedback and help determine how much was retained from the video lesson.

The reports section gives ongoing progress reports and also shows areas where more study is needed.  I require 85% or more to pass. My 3rd grader hates not getting 100%, so if she scores lower than that, she repeats the quiz until she’s scored 100%. On the other hand, my kindergartener and 1st grader are very happy with their 85%!

My Thoughts On CTCMath

I’ve made it known before, math and I are not friends. When I was in school I hated it and because of that, I didn’t want my kids to hate it. Long story short, my kids love CTCMath!

Admittedly the first day of using CTCMath was a learning curve mostly for my kindergartener and 1st grader. I had to sit with each of them individually and help them learn what to press and make sure they listen and did not just press buttons. After the first day, it got easier for them and they were able to navigate it on their own. My 3rd grader was able to figure things out on her own rather easily from the beginning.

I’ve got to say, it’s SO nice to see my kids get excited about math! I have not seen as much frustration with either of them as I have with other math curricula.

I really like that there’s zero lesson planning, the tests are self-grading, the videos are easy for the kids to navigate and understand, and I can switch levels pretty quickly if needed. I also don’t need to sit with each child individually and help them with math.

It’s safe to say that we’ll be using CTCMath indefinitely. And I’m not exaggerating! The 12-month membership is 100% worth it and I highly recommend CTCMath!
