As classical homeschoolers, we love curricula that align with both our worldview and teaching style. That’s why we love Memoria Press and their Latina Christiana Complete Set. This homeschool Latin course is a great way to learn Latin and will also help enrich your child’s education.

How We Used Latina Christiana

We used Latina Christiana with our 2nd grader. Even though it’s geared towards grades 3-6, she was ready for this course because she used the Prima Latina course which precedes this course.

She used this course daily during her homeschool week, which is 4 days per week. Once we got a hang of the rhythm of this course, she enjoyed learning and looked forward to either listening to the CDs or watching the DVD.

She has picked up learning Latin rather quickly and it has really helped her see and identify root words in English which she gets very excited about.

How Much Is Latina Christiana?

The Latina Christiana Complete Set currently costs $103.12. They also have the option to use online videos instead of DVDs for the same price. Or, you can add online videos to the DVD set for an additional $10.

My Thoughts On Latina Christiana

I have really enjoyed learning Latin alongside my daughter. The teacher’s manual, pronunciation CD, and instructional DVD make learning simple and enjoyable. The only flaw I’ve found was that the Flashcards were difficult to use and incorporate out-of-the-box and we haven’t really used them much.

Is It Good For  Homeschool Latin?

Yes! This Latin homeschool course really helps your child, and you, learn and understand English grammar and the English language even better. I definitely recommend Latina Christiana for homeschoolers!
