We live in a world overflowing with noise—messages, values, and ideologies pressing in from every direction. Whether through media, culture, or even well-meaning voices, families today face constant pressure to conform to shifting standards and fleeting truths. That’s why, now more than ever, it is vital to establish a firm foundation for our homes—one that is rooted in the eternal truth of God’s Word.

As parents, God has entrusted us with the sacred task of not only caring for our children’s physical and emotional needs, but also shepherding their hearts and souls toward Christ. In this lifelong journey of discipleship, a family creed, or household statement of faith, can serve as both anchor and compass—a steady light in an increasingly dark and confusing world. It’s more than a mission statement or a nice sentiment; it’s a bold and intentional declaration of who we are, what we believe, and how we will live as a family devoted to the Lord.

A family creed, when rooted in a biblical worldview, becomes a daily reminder of God’s unchanging truth. It offers clarity in the chaos, unity in times of uncertainty, and identity when the world tries to redefine us. It helps children and parents alike remember that we belong to Christ, and that our home is not just a place of comfort, but a place of worship, training, and purpose.

Here Is Our Family Creed

1. The Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 4:2, Hebrews 1:1-2)
   1. Infallible
   2. Inerrant
   3. Inspired
   4. Wholly Sufficient  
2. A Triune God (2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 28:19, John 15:26, Galatians 4:6)
   1. One God, 3 Persons – The Father, Son, Holy Spirit. These three are the same in substance, equal in power and glory, co-equal, and co-eternal. 
3. The 5 Solas (The Gospel) 
   1. Scripture Alone: 1 Corinthians 4:6 
   2. Christ Alone: John 14: 6, 1 Timothy 1:15-16, 2:5 
   3. Grace Alone: Ephesians 2:8, Romans 3:24, Titus 2:11 
   4. Faith Alone: Romans 5:1, Galatians 2:16, Ephesians 2:8-9 
   5. Glory Of God Alone:  Isaiah 43:6-7, 1 Corinthians 10:31, 1 Peter 4:11, Ephesians 3:20-21, Romans 11:36, Revelation 7:9-12
4. A biblical view of marriage and family (Gen. 1:26-28, 2:18-24; Ex. 20:12; Ps. 127:3-5; Mt. 19:4-6; Eph. 5:22-33, 6:1-4; Col. 3:18-21; Heb. 13:4; 1 Pt. 3:7)
5. Raising our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4 Deut 6:4-9)
