One thing about the Christmas season that can drive me crazy is the music. Not only can it be repetitive but it most often misses the True Reason for the season (Jesus) completely!
Over the years we’ve searched and searched for good…and I mean good, solid, theologically sound Christmas songs. We wanted to find music where we could enjoy the entire album of rich music and not just an album where one or two solid songs are thrown in.
I anticipate that this list of Christ centered Christmas music will grow as time goes on and I think we’ve found some good ones on this list that your family will enjoy!
Getty Music
The Getty’s are giving away 15 FREE songs and a hymnal for advent.

These are some our favorites as well. We were excited to see the Gettys in concert in October in Murray Kentucky. Thanks for sharing.
I love these, thank you for sharing them! I will have to add them in some way to our homeschool.
I love Kutless and Jeremy Camp’s Christmas music!
No one performs Handel’s Messiah better than John Rutter and the Cambridge Singers! And you’d be hard-pressed to find more theology in Christmas music than Messiah. 😉 But for more contemporary music, I also love Steve Pettit’s instrumental arrangements (like Long Time Ago) and, I will secretly confess (shhhh 😉 ) that while I agree it’s not “traditional”, Casting Crown’s “While You Were Sleeping/Oh Little Town of Bethlehem” is hard to beat for conviction!
Thank you for sharing! I was just thinking I need to get a Christmas playlist set up for this year 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing! Now i can have more then the classics!
I don’t have any songs or bands in particular I enjoy. But I do enjoy seeing you mention Sovereign Grace. I am a member of the denomination and love the music. 🙂
My kids will love all the songs.
I enjoy Glory to the Newborn King.
These are some great resources—ty!
Excited to check out Shane and Shane Christmas albums.
I love this playlist, been listening to it for a couple of days now!
Beautiful music. Thanks for sharing.
