As a homemaker, I’m always looking for things that are useful and practical for me to use around the house. I’m not one to want a lot of things, but sometimes, it’s nice to have things in my back pocket.
This Mother’s Day gifts for homemakers list was created for moms like me who rarely buys myself anything and may not know what you want. Use this list to send to your husband and/or children to give them ideas!
Let’s get to it, shall we?
Sourdough Starter Kit
Making sourdough bread is far from complicated! Getting started is the hardest part. Once I started and got really comfortable making sourdough bread, I wondered why it took me so long. To get started all you need is a sourdough starter and supplies.
You can make your own starter using a recipe like this, get a hand me down like I did, or purchase a starter. Then once you get your starter nice and active, you can start baking using these awesome sourdough tools.
You can’t go wrong with some cute sourdough T-shirts!
You can follow my sourdough journey on Instagram!
Oversized T-shirt
Speaking of t-shirts, I love wearing oversized t-shirts around the house! You can usually find me in athleisure wear if I’m at home. Oversized sweatshirts in the winter are the best, too!
Something For A Hobby
I admit that I don’t have much time for extra hobbies. But there are still things that I love to do and try to do as much as I can. My current hobbies, if you want to call it that, are crafting, coloring books, and word search puzzles.
Functional Apron
I currently have a really old black apron that I love and use. But if I’m honest with you, I’d love to have one of these beautiful aprons! So this is definitely on my wishlist!
Stand Mixer
You can’t go wrong with having a heavy duty stand mixer in your kitchen. Kitchen Aid mixers are so expensive and I’ve had one before. This time around I didn’t want to spend so much for a good mixer. After much research, these mixers fit the bill for a high quality, high performing, affordable stand mixer. I opted for the Vevor mixer!
Non Toxic Household Products
I recently switched my entire house to American owned and American made non toxic, healthier for you products. I literally buy all of my household products (minus a few things like toilet paper) from The Wellness Shopping Club. They have over 400+ products including toothpaste, cleaning products, supplements, snacks, makeup, essential oils and more! Switching is so easy.
Recipe Box/Binder
Call me old fashioned but I love having a physical copy of a recipe. If you love handwritten recipes or need a place to keep the recipes handed down to you from your mother or grandmother, this is perfect! These can even be passed on from generation to generation!
Coffee Mug
Coffee or tea anyone? Yes, please! I love having a good cup of Joe or Chai tea in the morning. Having a travel mug comes in handy for days on the go.
Feminine Dresses
I love dressing up and putting on makeup! Having options in your closet (besides athleisure wear) for church or date night is essential.
Bible
A Mother’s Day gifts for homemakers list is not complete without a Bible! If you need a new Bible, or want to add to your collection, Mother’s Day is a great time to get one. I have the She Reads Truth Bible and I absolutely love it. And they come in several pretty colors, leather, and hardback.
Books
I do love a good book. But I love a book that is edifying and points me to Jesus even more! These are a few of my current favorites. Or if you’re the audiobook kinda girl (I’m quickly becoming one) Audible is amazing!

I am breastfeeding my last child. Her name is Nola, she is currently 5 months old, and I would LOVE to win the GC to Precious Mammories, to have jewelry made out of our breastmilk! That would be so amazing!
All such amazing ideas that I would have never thought of! I actually may use a few! Thank you for sharing!
These are such thoughtful gifts for Mom. I love the Wooden Recipe Box since I still handwrite most of our family recipes. Great list!
These are all great ideas! As a mother, I would love to receive any of these, but I think I might buy the recipe box for myself. Ha!

I would love any of these! I love how you have a specific mom in mind too, the sentimental mom! Very helpful.

Thanks for all of these great ideas for mother’s day gifts.
These are truly beautiful and unique ideas! I wish my husband had time to read these,…I end up buying myself a present every year and telling him “this is my Mother’s Day present!” To be fair, he nails every other holiday, NEVER has he forgotten my birthdy (Valentine’s Day!) or our anniversary. He is an EXCELLENT husband of 35 years–I now call him my Knight in Shining Armour!
I’m glad you enjoyed the ideas!
Sounds like you have an incredible husband! And my birthday is February 13th 😉
As a single lady, I would get the family necklace for my Mom. Buying for Mom is tough because well she’s 81 and pretty much has everything.
Appreciate the ideas
