How We Used The Christian Heroes Then And Now Series
We chose to read C.S. Lewis: Master Storyteller. We chose C.S. or Clive Staple Lewis because he’s one of Steven and my favorite authors. Lewis, who wrote more than thirty books, was also a Christian apologist, and lay theologian and is considered to be one of the most influential writers of his time.
Some of his most popular books include The Screwtape Letters, Mere Christianity, The Abolition of Man, and most notably, The Chronicles of Narnia which have sold millions of copies and have been made into three successful movies.
Although this book is suggested for ages 10 and up, I had my 8-year-old who reads above her grade level and is in 2nd grade, use this for her quiet time reading. I also went through a few chapters of the book on my own.
The book also comes with a study guide. I really like the study guides because it expands on what’s being read in the book. It goes further into subjects like History, Geography, Essay writing, Creative writing, Reading comprehension, Art, as well as key Bible verses.
She thinks the book is entertaining, has asked some great questions, and even chuckled on a few parts. I love how this book presents and introduces C.S. Lewis to young readers. Although she has not finished the book yet, she has enjoyed reading through this book.
How Much Is The Christian Heroes Then And Now Series?
These books can be purchased directly from YWAM Publishing’s website. C.S. Lewis Master Storyteller costs $7.50. If you want to purchase the entire series of 50 books, it costs $249.
You can also purchase the books in a 5-book gift set for $33
My Thoughts On The Christian Heroes Then And Now Series
C.S. Lewis Master Storyteller is a fantastic book. The quality in both construction and material inside the book are well done. I also appreciate that they include study guides for their books which makes reading the books more in-depth.
I highly recommend this book as well as the Christian Heroes Then And Now series. This is a series that we could get a lot of use from in the future.
