There’s something deeply life-giving about walking this homeschool journey with other families who share your heart. While I’m incredibly grateful to have a strong support system and local community, I know that’s not the case for every family. And even with support, there are still moments where this calling can feel heavy, especially if you’re carrying it alone.
Maybe you’ve longed for a small co-op for nature study. Maybe your kids would thrive in a field trip group. Maybe you just need a friend who understands what it’s like to balance discipleship, laundry, and long division.
Whatever it looks like for your family, I want you to know this: likemindedness matters. And that’s exactly why I’m so excited to introduce you to BaseCampEd, a fresh, family-centered way to connect with other homeschooling and Christian education families in your area.

This post is sponsored by BaseCampEd. My time was compensated however all opinions are my own.
What is BaseCampEd?
Like many of us, Morgan, a mama of three young boys, found herself at that turning point when her oldest was almost Kindergarten age. Her heart was leaning toward homeschooling, but so were the demands of work and life. She longed for connection, collaboration, and a way to do this well without doing it all alone.
She wondered: “Is there anyone nearby who’s walking a similar path? Could we link arms, share the load, and raise our children in truth and togetherness?”
She dreamed of a tool that would help her find local families with shared values, a map of nearby homeschoolers ready to co-teach, support, and grow in community.
That dream became the BaseCampEd.
Built by a homeschool mom who gets it, this platform is designed to help you connect with other Christian families, organize co-ops and events, and discover resources that support your homeschooling efforts, all in one place. You can learn more about Morgan, the founder of BaseCampEd, here in this video!
How It Works: Local + Like-Minded
When you create a parent profile, you’ll answer a few simple questions, like your kids’ ages, your zip code, and what kind of educational approach your family leans toward.

And no worries, BaseCampEd never uses geo-tracking. Your zip code helps connect you with others nearby, but your privacy stays protected!
From there, you can explore a map of families around your neighborhood, and even expand into surrounding zip codes if you’re open to a wider radius.

Filters That Actually Help
What I love most? This isn’t just a directory, it’s a tool that helps you intentionally find families based on:
- Children’s ages
- Number of kids
- Shared interests
- And more

Once you’ve found someone who seems like a good fit, you can request to connect, and only after the connection is approved can you send messages. That means no spam, no random messages, and a space where families can truly feel safe.
Build Public or Private Groups for Homeschool Life
Whether you’ve been dreaming of starting a Bible journaling group, a weekly nature co-op, or a local gathering for homeschool mamas, BaseCampEd makes it easy to gather and grow together.

There are two kinds of groups you can create:
-
Public Groups: Great for nationwide interests or broad support (think: gentle parenting, homeschooling with toddlers, or Charlotte Mason encouragement)
-
Private Groups: Perfect for local, invitation-only co-ops, extracurricular groups, or tight-knit gatherings of likeminded families.
It’s your space, created with your values and vision in mind.
Stay on Top of It All with the Built-In Calendar
Let’s be honest: homeschool life is beautiful, and busy. The calendar feature helps you:
- Add your family’s personal events (like dentist appointments or lesson planning days)
- Keep track of group meet-ups
- View and RSVP to nearby events hosted by other families or groups
Everything lives in one place so you can free up some of those mental tabs we’re all juggling.

My Final Thoughts: You Don’t Have To Do This Alone
Mama, if you’ve been praying for community, safe, values-aligned, Gospel-rooted community, BaseCampEd is an answered prayer.
