In today’s day and age, we’ve seen some unprecedented events occur in our culture and there is no better time than right now to diligently wash our children with the Word of God.
Jesus Christ is the only hope for this lost and broken world. Establishing a solid biblical foundation is important for Christian families and as parents, cultivating and discipling our children in Christ should be our top priority.
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). When we wash our children in God’s Word, we are feeding them spiritual food that brings forth life. Our ultimate prayer as parents must be a prayer of salvation for our children. We must pray that the Holy Spirit regenerates the hearts of our children and turn their hearts of stone into flesh.
This is where family worship and discipleship come in. We must be vigilant and diligent in teaching our children the infallible, unadulterated Word of God. Meaning, how to honor, glorify and enjoy God, and how to worship and adore Him alone. To sum it all up…leading by example!
Teaching our children how to communicate God’s truth as well as defend it with a biblical worldview will help give them the foundation they need to live in a world full of chaos. Children are spiritual sponges and using catechism is also a great way to help write God’s Word on their hearts.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says:
“6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

How To Use The Guide
Family worship is not meant to be a full-blown church service. All that is required is for you to gather your family together at an appointed time during the day, whatever suits your schedule the best.
Once you’ve gathered together, follow the outline and keep it short and simple.
